What makes Bethany Preschool so special?
Bethany Preschool has been operating since 1980 and has changed with the times to accommodate our neighborhood families. For 45 years, we have been partnering with the best staff in Austin to lead our students. We pride ourselves on our highly-trained and well-educated staff. Our current directors were Bethany Pre-K teachers; many of our teachers were once parents of students; and we even have a current teacher who was a student! Bethany Preschool is a true family.
Low Teacher-to-Student Ratio
Toddlers: 2 teachers, maximum 8 children
Young Twos: 2 teachers, maximum 10 children
Older Twos: One teacher one shared aide, maximum 10 children
Threes: One teacher, maximum 10 children
Fours: One teacher, maximum 12 children (* for perspective, the state of Texas would allow up to 18 children a Four-year-old class, with one teacher.)

We consider ourselves to be a boutique offering in the area. While most preschools have morphed into day-cares, we have maintained a schedule that fits within the elementary school day - helpful for families with older children. Over the years, we have added after hours Enrichment programs to keep students engaged and learning beyond our normal day. A play-based curriculum has many benefits, including emotional and social advantages. We teach compassion and community, as well as the “Fruits of the Spirit.” Our students head to kindergarten prepared, confident and excited.
While we have kept up with technology to make parents’ lives easier (an app for information and photos, digital check-in and ease of communication) we are proudly a “screen-free” school. Your child’s teacher will not let videos and screens replace group or one-on-one instruction.
